Eohippus adalah sebuah genus ungulata equid punah.[1] Satu-satunya spesies dalam genus ini adalah E. angustidens, yang lama dianggap sebagai spesies dari Hyracotherium (sekarang secara ketat didefinisikan sbeagai anggot adari Palaeotheriidae, bukan Equidae). Sisa-sisanya telah diidentifikasi di Amerika Utara dan berasal dari Eosen Awal (Ypresium).

Eohippus memiliki tinggi 12 in (30 cm) di pundak.[2]
