Drs. Parmanto, M.A. merupakan Pjs Rektor UNS Tahun 1977-1979 yang juga merupakan rektor kedua UNS menggantikan Prof. KGPH Haryo Mataram. Sebelumnya ia juga pernah menjabat sebagai Rektor IKIP Surakarta Tahun 1970.[1]
