Pneumodesmus newmani adalah sebuah spesies kaki seribu yang hidup pada kala Wenlock di periode Silur sekitar 428 juta tahun silam.[2][3] Meski studi tahun 2017 menanggalkan genus ini pada periode Devon Awal (Lochkovium) menggunakan analisis data zirkon,[4] sebuah studi dari tahun 2023 mengkonfirmasi identifikasi penanggalan studi tahun 2004 pada periode Silur melalui analisis zirkon, palinologis dan paleobotanis, beserta dengan memasukkan data tambahan baru.[3] Hewan ini menjadi salah satu myriapoda pertama, dan menjadi salah satu hewan pertama yang naik dan tinggal di daratan.[5] Pneumodesmus ditemukan pada 2004, dan hanya diketahui dari satu spesimen dari Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Skotlandia.[2]
