Vespula adalah sebuah genus tawon sosial kecil, tersebar luas di belahan Bumi utara. Bersamaan dengan anggota genus saudara mereka, Dolichovespula, mereka secara keseluruhan dikenal dengan nama umum tawon jaket kuning (yellowjackets) di Amerika Utara.
