Ardo estió lo zaguer sobirán de los visigodos. Reino dende l'anyo 713 u 714 dica l'anyo 720 u 721. Fixó la suya residencia en Narbona con lo nuclio de lo suyo territorio en Septimania prebó de resistir l'abance de los musulmans, que ya cuasi heban ocupau tota la Peninsula Iberica. A la fin una ofensiva de lo walí As-Samh ibn Màlik al-Khawlaní trescurzó los Pireneus y remató ocupando lo Rosellón y Narbona rematando con la zaguera existencia d'un reino visigodo.
