Ugas d'a variedat merlot

A merlot (prenunciau en francés /mɛʁˈlo/) ye una variedat d'uga de vinificación de color azul fosca, que s'utiliza tanto como uga de mezcla como pa vins varietals. Se creye que o nombre "merlot" ye un diminutivo de "merle", o nombre francés d'a merla, probablement una referencia a la color d'a uga. A suya suavidat y "carnosidat", combinadas con a suya maduración mas temprana, fan d'a merlot una uga popular pa mezclar con a cabernet sauvignon, mas dura y de maduración tardara, que tiende a estar mas alta en tanins.[1]

En Aragón ye una d'as variedaz tintas autorizadas en os vins d'as denominacions d'orichen protechidas Ailés, Calatayú, Campo de Borcha, Carinyena, Semontano y Urbezo y en as indicacions cheograficas protechidas vins d'a Tierra Baixo Aragón, Ribera d'o Galligo-Cinco Villas, Ribera d'o Queiles, Ribera de Xiloca, Valle d'a Cinca y Val de Xalón.
