Historia

Seguntes Agustín Ubieto Arteta, a primera cita d'o lugar ye en 1063 (en o treballo de licenciatura d'o curso 1959-1960 en a Facultat de Filosofía y Letras d'a Universidat de Valencia de María Ascensión Lluch Adelantado Documentación pinatense del siglo XII), y se documentan as formas Orante, Oranto, Orant y Sancti Iacobi de Orant.[2]
