Etimolochicament, un president ye "qui se posa debant" (d'o latín praesidens, d'as parolas prae ("debant") y sedere (posar-se)). Orichinalment, o termin se referiba a qui presidiba una cerimonia u asemblea.[1] Huei a ormino se refiere a una persona con poders executivos.
