Encara que a suya canal orichinal ye Nickelodeon, Bob Esponcha ye actualment feito por tot o mundo. A serie fue creyada por l'artista, animador y biologo marino Stephen Hillenburg, y ye producida por a suya companyía, United Plankton Pictures, Inc..
