Os tatz (en tat Tati) son un grupo etnico que habita en Azerbaichán y bels lugars de Daguestán. Os tatz son bellas decenas de mils. Charran una luenga iranica y son musulmans chiitas con una minoría sunnita hanafí. (os chudieus dagh chufuti se consideran atro grupo etnico). Son en proceso d'asimilación a los azerins

Encara que charren tat tienen como luenga de cultura y escritura l'azerín. Tienen un folklore oral y musical orichinal, pero cantato, recitato y escrito en azerín.

Modo de vida

Son agricultors sedentarios que cautivan trigo, hordio, panizo, bisaltos, chirasols, segol, millo, tabaco y uga. O bestiar ye vacumen, uellamen, someramen, caballamen, de brúfols y en bels puestos de camellos. Teixer alfombras no lo fan que as mullers. En a cultura material no se diferencian d'os azerins.

Historia

Fa un sieglo ya yeran en proceso d'asimilación por part d'os azerins. Dende a decada de 1930 los han rechistrato y considerato oficialment como azerins, y l'autodefinición etnica s'ha difuminato. Dende fins d'a decada de 1980 bi ha senyals de recuperación d'o sentimiento d'identidat etnica.
