Tonel

Un tonel.

Un tonel[1][2][nota 1] (d'o latín <TUNNA, «cuba») ye un recipient cilindrico de fusta que s'emplega ta transportar u almagacenar liquidos u aridos de granulometría menuda. Pueden tener diferents volumens, estando os mas grans (que gosan arribar a cualques cientos de litros) as cubas.

Os tonels se construyen con lamas de fusta que reciben o nombre d'adogas, curvadas y encaixadas d'entre ellas a presión, y que se subchectan con cellos de metal por a part de difuera. As dos tapas, tamién de fusta, que zarran o recipient por os cabos extremos se dicen frontals.

A construcción d'un tonel ye una fayena de precisión que requiere experiencia y tecnicas muit polidas. En cheneral, a fan artesans profesionals que reciben o nombre de tonelers u toneleros.
