O zuro,[1][2] zurro[2] u ciuro[2] (d'o latín < suber)[2] ye un material flotant impermiable, a capa de teixiu d'a crosta que se replega pa uso comercial prencipalment d'a lecina zurera, que ye nativa d'o sud-ueste d'Europa y lo nord-ueste d'Africa. O zuro ye componiu de suberina, una substancia hidrofoba. A causa d'as suyas propiedaz impermiables, flotants, elasticas y ignifugas, s'usa en una variedat de productos, o mas común d'os cuals son os tapes de botellas de vin.

A producción mundial de zuro ye d'unas 340.000 toneladas, d'as cuals Portugal en produz un 61%, Espanya un 30%, y Italia un 6%.

O zuro estió examinau microscopicament por Robert Hooke, o que lo levó a descubrir y nombrar a celula.
