Alejandro Meraz, más conocíu como Alex Meraz (10 de xineru de 1985, Mesa), ye un actor d'Estaos Xuníos y artista marcial. Ye conocíu pol so papel de Paul, el miembru más temperamental de la menada d'homes llobu de la tribu quileute na película The Twilight Saga: New Moon, secuela de la película del 2008 Twilight.[1]

Biografía

Meraz ye un indíxena americanu perteneciente al Pueblu purépecha.[2][3] Estudió na «New School for the Arts» (Nueva Escuela d'Artes), y ye un vidueñu pintor y ilustrador.[4] Amás de baillar break-Alex destacar na danza indíxena y contemporáneo. Estudió artes marciales mistes, ganando numberosos torneos de karate y l'arte marcial de la Capoeira.

Vida personal

Ta casáu con una vietnamita americana, Kim. La so esposa, una fan de Twilight, díxo-y que debía audicionar para Lluna Nueva, creyendo que yera perfectu pal papel.

Tienen un fíu llamáu Somak, del que l'actor Raoul Trujillo, amigu de Meraz, ye padrín.[5] Somak significa "formosu" en quechua, una llingua indíxena orixinaria de Perú.[6][7]
