Angra dos Reis ye una ciudá litoránea brasilana allugada nel estáu de Rio de Janeiro, a una distancia de 151 km de la capital del estáu. Tien una superficie total de 800.4 km², correspondiendo 193 km² del total a 365 islles -la mayor de les cuales ye Ilha Grande- y castros y una población de 119 247 habitantes (1 agostu 2000)[2][3]
Les actividaes económiques más importantes de la ciudá son les actividaes portuaries, el comerciu y los servicios, delles industries, la producción d'enerxía nuclear (los dos reactores nucleares brasilanos tán allugaos nel conceyu) y el turismu nos sos sableres, islles y bucéu.
