Raymond Arthur Chung (10 de xineru de 1918, Windsor Forest (en) Traducir – 23 de xunu de 2008, Georgetown) foi militante del partíu Congresu Nacional del Pueblu de Guyana. Foi presidente de Guyana ente 1970 y 1980. Foi'l primer xefe d'Estáu d'orixe chinu en gobernar un país non asiáticu.

Nació en Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara en Guyana. Foi'l menor de los ocho fíos de Joseph y Lucy Chung.[3] Tuvo casáu con Doreen Pamela Ng-See-Quan, con quien tuvo dos fíos.

En 1965 convertir en miembru del Partíu Progresista del Pueblu. En 1966 participó na acta de declaración d'independencia de la so nación, Guyana y dende 1996 hasta 1970 participó en distintos cargos mientres el gobiernu d'Edward Victor Luckhoo.

En 1970 realizáronse eleiciones y el candidatu del Partíu Progresisita del pueblu, Arthur Chung resultó vencedor pal periodu 1970-1977. El so primer gobiernu foi positivu, anque se vio venceyáu colos asesinatos de Jonestown, una y bones el gobiernu venciera unes hectárees nel territoriu reclamáu de Guayana Esequiba. Nes eleiciones de 1977, resultó reelecto pa gobernar hasta 1984. El so segundu gobiernu tuvo qu'encarar dellos movimientos armaos interraciales, ente cristianos y xudíos. En 1980 arrenunció al nun poder controlar la crisis racial que'l país taba viviendo, y asoceder l'entós vicepresidente Forbes Burnham.
