Benjamin Fain (en rusu: Вениамин Моисеевич Файн, hebréu: בינימין פיין) (nacíu'l 17 de febreru de 1930 – 15 d'abril de 2013) foi un físicu, profesor eméritu y refusenik.
Fain nació nuna familia xudía en Kiev. El so padre foi un matemáticu. Dende neñu se inculcó l'amor pola ciencia, según un fuerte sentimientu nacional.[2]
Benjamin Fain lleva'l nome del so güelu, que foi asesináu en Proskurov nun pogromo. Mientres la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la familia foi evacuada y camudaron d'allugamientu delles vegaes. Tres el final de la guerra, la familia quedar en Dushanbe, onde Fain graduar de la escuela. Convertir nun estudiante nel Institutu de Moscú d'Enerxética. Mientres el primer añu en Moscú, visitó la sinagoga y trató d'aprender los idiomes hebréu y yiddish. Fain foi fuertemente impresionáu pola visita histórica del primer embaxador d'Israel, Golda Meir, na XRSS. Fain llogróse tresferir en 1950 a la Facultá de Física de la Universidá de Gorky. Graduóse en summa cum laude ellí. El so instructor foi'l ganador del premiu Nobel, Vitali Gínzburg.
Fain empecipiar con ésitu la so carrera científica, y yá en 1965 convertir en profesor na so alma mater. Escribió dellos llibros científicos traducíos al inglés y alemán.[3][4][5] En 1966 treslladar a Moscú y empezó a trabayar con ésitu nel Institutu de Física del Estáu Sólidu en Chernogolovka.
