Por comuña entiéndese una subdivisión alministrativa menor que correspuende a una zona urbana o rural, o mista. Ye equivalente al conceyu o otres instancies d'alministración llocal. L'orixe del nome y función provién de la Edá Media, dómina na que yera la denomación de les ciudaes italianes independientes d'un señor feudal.
