Corea ye una peninsula nel este d'Asia asitiada ente'l Mar Mariellu y el Mar del Xapón o Mar del Este.

Políticamente Corea ta dividía ente Corea del Sur, democrática y capitalista, y Corea del Norte, comunista. Ocupada por Xapón en 1910, al finar la Segunda Guerra Mundial en 1945, el norte pasó tar embaxu l'alministración de la Xunión Soviética y el sur de les fuercies aliaes, encabezaes por Estaos Xuníos, dando llugar al nacimientu de los dos países en 1948. Tres la guerra de Corea (1950-1953) ta en vigor un altu'l fueu que nun llegó a convertise nun tratáu de paz.
