Un cubu, arriendes de ser un hexaedru, pue clasificase tamién como paralelepípedu, reutu y rectángulu, darréu que toles sos cares son de cuatro llaos y paraleles dos a dos, ya inclusive como un prisma de base cuadrangular y altor equivalente al llau de la base.

El hexaedru regular, cumple'l Teorema de poliedros d'Euler, darréu que tien seis cares, ocho vértices y doce aristes (8+6=12+2).
