L'actor ye conocíu por interpretar a Jonathan Levinson, na serie televisiva Buffy the Vampire Slayer y a Doyle McMasters, noviu de Paris Geller en Gilmore Girls, pero tamién apaeció en filmes como Pleasantville, Dangerous Minds, na parodia Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The Thirteenth y más apocayá en Sydney White. Tamién foi convidáu en comedies de situación como Seinfeld y Coses de Marcianos. En febreru de 2012 foi escoyíu como guionista de la película El simbolo perdíu, adautación de la novela de Dan Brown que-y da nome.
