L'este ye ún de los cuatro puntos cardinales. La perpendicular a la meridiana taya al horizonte nos puntos este y oeste. Tamién-y dan el nome d' oriente o llevante. Etimoloxía
La pallabra este vien del inglés antiguu east, qu'al empar deriva del proto-xermánicu austra, y ésti del proto-indoeuropeo aus col significáu d'"aurora".[ensin referencies]
