Evolution (o Novell Evolution) ye un xestor de corréu, información personal y de trabayu en grupu pa GNOME. Ye una aplicación llibre desendolcada orixinalmente por Ximian y agora ye parte oficial del escritoriu de GNOME. Combina alministración de corréu electrónicu, calendariu, axenda y llista de xeres. Forma parte del conxuntu GNOME Office, y distribúise con Ubuntu
La so interface gráfica y funcionalidá aseméyase muncho a l'aplicación Microsoft Outlook.
Anguaño yá esiste torna a llingua asturiana, na versión d'Ubuntu (Linux).
Evolution 2
L'actual versión, Evolution 2.24.3, inclúi dalgunes nueves carauterístiques como:
- Integración con Pidgin
- Meyora na integración col escritoriu GNOME
- Conectividá integrada con Novell GroupWise
- Conectividá integrada con Microsoft Exchange
- Meyora en cuentes de corréu IMAP
- Meyores numberoses nel calendariu
- Capacidá pa S/MIME, meyora d'alministración de contautos
