Gnumeric ye quien a importar y esportar datos en distintos formatos, lo que lu fai compatible con otros programes como Excel, Applix, Quattro Pro, PlanPerfect, Sylk, DIF, Oleo, SC, StarOffice, OpenOffice.org, y Lotus 1-2-3. El so formatu nativu ye XML, comprimíu con gzip.

Gnumeric distribúise según les condiciones de la Llicencia Pública Xeneral (GNU) de GNU.
