Hammersmith ye un distritu inglés asitiáu nel oeste Londres, dientro del conceyu (borough) de Hammersmith y Fulham. Ta bordiada por Shepherds Bush al norte, por Kensington al este, por Chiswick al oeste y por Fulham al sur, col que forma parte de la vera del ríu Támesis. Ta venceyáu pela ponte de Hammersmith a Barnes nel suroeste. Ye unu de los centros comerciales y d'empléu clave al oeste de Londres. Mientres tiempu foi'l centru de la minoría polaca londinense, razón pola cual anguaño asitiar nél el "Centru Social y Cultural Polacu" (POSK, polos sos sigles n'inglés). Ye un importante centru de tresporte pal oeste de Londres, con dos estaciones de metro y una estación d'autobuses nel Hammersmith Broadway.
