Helmand (nome orixinal: هلمند) ye una provincia d'Afganistán con capital en Lashkar Gah. Ta asitiada nel suroeste'l país. El ríu Helmand percorre la rexón erma, trayendo los regadíos. La superficie ye de 58.583 km². Cunta con 940.098 habitantes (2006). Amás de la capital, la ciudá de Sangin ye afamada. La provincia produz el 20% del mundiu d'opiu.
