Indicator indicator ye una especie d'ave piciforme de la familia Indicatoridae qu'habita nel África subsaḥariana, tantu nes selves como nes sabanes d'África.
El so nome fai referencia a la so costume d'emponer a los rateles y los humanos hasta les colonies d'abeyes, pa poder llograr cera y canesbes de les que s'alimenta, tres l'espoliu del miel per parte de los mamíferos.
