Interfaz ye la conexón ente dos ordenadores o máquines de cualesquier tipu dando una comunicación ente dambes.
Amás, la pallabra interfaz utilízase en distintos contestos:
- Interfaz como preséu: dende esta perspeutiva la interfaz ye una "prótesis" o "estensión" (McLuhan) del nuesu cuerpu. El ratón ye un preséu qu'estiende les funciones de la nuesa mano y llévales a la pantalla so forma de cursor. - Interfaz como superficie: dalgunos consideren que la interfaz tresmítenos instrucciones ("affordances") que nos informen sobro'l so usu. La superficie d'un oxetu (real o virtual) fálanos per mediu de les sos formes, testures, colores, etc.
- Interfaz como espaciu: dende esta perspeutiva la interfaz ye'l llugar de la interacción, l'espaciu onde se desenvuelven los intercambios y los sos manualidades.
