June Hutton (11 d'agostu de 1920 – 2 de mayu de 1973[2]) foi una cantante d'Estaos Xuníos.

Biografía

Nacida en Chicago, Illinois, nuna familia d'orixe irlandés, a finales de la década de 1930 Hutton xunir a la banda de la so hermanasca mayor, Ina Ray Hutton, cantando sol nome de Elaine Merritt. En 1941 entró a formar parte del grupu de Charlie Spivak como miembru d'un grupu de vocalistas, The Stardusters (xunto con Glenn Calyon, Curt Purnell y Dick Wylder).[3] La orquesta Spivak y The Stardusters actuaron nun filme de Betty Grable, Pin-Up Girl, en (1943). Como miembru de The Stardusters consiguió dos ésitos, "This Is Non Laughing Matter" y "Brother Bill", consiguiendo otru más como artista en solitariu, "Dreamsville, Ohio".

En 1944, cuando Jo Stafford abandonó'l grupu The Pied Pipers pa trabayar en solitariu, Hutton foi la so sustituta. Colos Pipers grabó diversos ésitos: "Lily Belle", "Mam'selle", "In the Middle of May", "My Happiness", y el cantar marca de la casa de los Pipers, "Dream". En 1945 dio la voz como cantante a Vera-Ellen nel filme, Wonder Man.

En 1950 dexó'l grupu y fíxose solista. Al añu siguiente casóse col líder de banda y compositor Axel Stordahl. Les grabaciones de Hutton para Capitol Records disponíen del acompañamientu de la orquesta de Stordahl. En 1953 consiguió tres éxito pa Capitol: "Say You're Mine Again", "Non Stone Unturned", y "For the First Time". "Say You're Mine Again" foi'l so únicu hit na UK Singles Chart, algamando'l númberu 6 en 1953.[2]

June Hutton finó en Encino, California, en 1973. Tenía 52 años d'edá. Foi soterrada nel Campusantu Forest Lawn Memorial Park de Glendale (California).[3]
