Kropyvnytskyi (ucraín: Кропивницький), enantes conocida como Elisavetgráu (Елисаветград) y ente 1939 y 2016 como Kirovográu o Kirovohrad (ucraín: Кіровогра́д, rusu: Кировогра́д), ye una ciudá allugada nel centru d'Ucraína sobre la rivera del ríu Inhul. Tien una población d'aproximao 233 620 habitantes (envaloráu añu 2013).

Desenvolvióse primeramente en redol a un asentamientu militar, pa darréu mientres el sieglu XIX convertise nun gran centru d'intercambiu comercial, pasando a ser amás un centru cultural por cuenta de que la primer compañía de teatru ucraniana establecer en Kirovográu mientres 1883.

El 14 de xunetu de 2016 la ciudá foi rebautizada col nome de Kropyvnytskyi, n'honor al dramaturgu y actor teatral Mark Kropyvnytsky.[1]

Mientres la dómina soviética, la ciudá centró les sos actividaes económiques na agricultura y la industria llixero, algamando la popularidá por cuenta de la Planta Chervona Zirka[2] (la cual fabricó más de la metá de les máquines de llantadera pa la XRSS) y la compañía JSC Hydrosila.
