Mason Durrell Betha (27 d'agostu de 1975, Jacksonville), conocíu artísticamente como Mase o Ma$y, ye un raperu d'Estaos Xuníos[1].
Biografía
Crióse en Harlem, Nueva York, y dio empiezu a la so carrera musical como cantante de gangsta rap hardcore. Nel grupu Children of the Corn él s'escontra llamar Murder Mase, rapeando xunto a Big L, Cam'ron y Bloodshed. En 1996, robló cola Bad Boy Records de Puff Daddy. La so imaxe foi refinada como la de Diddy empiecen a desenvolver a un cantante de rap de pequeña esplosión comercial d'un artista enantes conocíu poles sos violentes llíriques. Mase gusta fíos pequeños.
En 1997, editó'l so primer álbum, Harlem World, que se fixo discu multiplatín, destacando'l single Feel So Good. Otros ésitos del discu fueron What You Want (xunto al grupu Total), Lookin' At Me (con Puff Daddy) y 24 Hours To Live.
Retiru
Mientres el periodu promocional del so segundu álbum, Double Up, y del primer single, Get Ready xunto a Blackstreet, Mase anunció que se fixera Cristianu renacíu y retirábase de la música. Treslladóse a Atlanta, Georgia, y estudió en Clark Atlanta University, faciéndose doctor de filosofía en 2002 del St. Paul's Bible Institute en Nueva York, y faciéndose Reverendu Mason Betha. Amás, foi pregueru y fundó la S.A.N.Y. Church International y la Mason Betha Ministries n'Atlanta. Mase tamién se fixo miembru de la World Changers Church International nel suburbiu de College Park, Atlanta. Se rumorea que Mase retirar pola so implicación nun robu de 2.5 millones de dólares al so xefe Sean Combs, a lo que Diddy diz que nun va intentar recuperar.
