Musetta van der Merwe (26 de mayu de 1963, Durban)[3] ye una modelu y actriz sudafricana, conocida poles sos actuaciones en películes de ciencia ficción y fantasía. Como fía d'una profesora de balé la so primer apaición nel escenariu foi a los 4 años d'edá n'unu de los munchos espectáculos coreografiados pola so madre. Llogró una llicenciatura en Comunicación y Psicoloxía y pocu dempués de terminar la escuela calificóse como profesora de ballet.

Conocida por ser la protagonista en 1996 de Barbie Girl. Dende 1997 a principios del 2017 co-protagonizó la Saga Mortal Kombat.

En 1988 casóse col direutor Jeff Celentano.
