Los neópteros (Neoptera, del griegu νεός neos, "nuevu" y πτερος pteros, "ales"; "ales nueves") son una agrupación taxonómica, dacuando considerada como una infraclase, qu'inclúi a casi tolos inseutos alaos, concretamente a aquellos que pueden ablayar les sos ales sobre l'abdome, en contraste colos pertenecientes al grupu Palaeoptera (Ephemeroptera y Odonata), que les sos ales permanecen esplegaes cuando l'inseutu ta en reposu. Delles caparines nun pueden plegar les ales y tiénenles esplegaes verticalmente sobre'l cuerpu, pero deriven claramente d'antepasaos capaces de plegales. [1]
