L'okel o okela ye una pallabra árabe que significa almacén, depósitu y aplícase a les posaes exipcies y a los llugares onde faen parada les caravanes.

En mediu del edificiu hai un patiu con fonte y letrines y ta arrodiáu de pórticos, baxo los que s'abren les puertes de les tiendes y almacenes y nel superior tán les habitaciones.
