Oona Castiella Chaplin (4 de xunu de 1986, Madrid) ye una actriz española de cine, teatru y televisión. Ye conocida por interpretar a Talisa Maegyr na serie de la HBO Game of Thrones. Tamién participó na serie británica The Hour (2012) y na serie creao y protagonizao por Tom Hardy Taboo (2017).

Primeros años

Oona Chaplin nació en Madrid y pertenez a una célebre familia de cineastes; ye fía de l'actriz Geraldine Chaplin, nieta de Charles Chaplin y Oona O'Neill y bisnieta del dramaturgu Eugene O'Neill.[3][4] El so padre, Patriciu Castiella, ye un direutor de fotografía chilenu d'ascendencia mapuche y española que participó viviegamente na política en Chile y Cuba. La güela paterna de Oona, Hilda, ye d'orixe mapuche.[5] Pasó la mayor parte de la so infancia ente España, Inglaterra, Escocia, Suiza y Cuba, pero tamién viaxaba de cutiu, pola carrera de la so madre.[6][7] Empezó a baillar balé, salsa y flamencu, a una edá temprana.[7][8]

Cuando Chaplin tenía quince años, empezó a estudiar na Gordonstoun School n'Escocia con una beca n'interpretación.[9] Mientres la so estancia ellí, apaeció en delles obres escolares, faciendo un tour alredor del Reinu Xuníu con una adautación de Romeo y Julieta y asonsañando al so güelu nel papel de Bottom na adautación de Suañu d'una nueche de branu, que foi interpretada nel Edinburgh Festival Fringe.[7][10] Al dexar Gordonstoun, foi aceptada na Escuela Real d'Arte Dramático de Londres (RADA), de la que se graduó en 2007.[7] Ye trillingüe, fala perfectamente: español, inglés y francés.

Carrera

Desque se graduó de RADA, actuó principalmente en proyeutos británicos y españoles. Apaeció xunto a la so madre en 4 películes: Inconceivable, ¿Para qué sirve un oso?, Imago Mortis y Tierra Firme. Chaplin tamién tuvo dellos papeles recurrentes en series americanes y britániques. Apaeció como la muyer del personaxe principal, Hector Madden, na serie de la BBC The Hour (2011–2012), como la novia del Dr. Watson nun episodiu de la serie Sherlock, y como Talisa Maegyr, na serie de la HBO, Game of Thrones (2012–2013).[6][11]

Interpretó a Kitty Trevelyan, el personaxe principal, nel drama de la BBC, The Crimson Field (2014). Tamién formó parte del repartu de la película El viaxe más llargu (2015). Confirmóse que va interpretar a Zilpha Geary na miniserie Taboo, que se va emitir na BBC One nel Reinu Xuníu, y en FX n'Estaos Xuníos, en dalgún momentu de 2016.
