El reinu Protista, tamién nomáu Protoctista, ye'l que contién a tolos organismos eucariontes que nun puen clasificase dientro de dalgún de los otros tres reinos eucariotes: Fungi (fungos), Animalia (animales nel sen estrictu) o Plantae (plantes). Nel árbol filoxenéticu de los organismos eucariontes, los protistes formen dellos grupos monofiléticos separtaos, o incluyen miembros que tán estrechamente emparentaos con dalgún de los tres reinos citaos. Se-yos designa con nomes que tienen perdío valor na ciencia biolóxica, pero'l so emplegu sería imposible desterrali, como «ocle», «protozoos» o «mofos mucosos».
