Pyong Yang[2] ye la capital de Corea del Norte, allugada nel noroeste del país, cerca del ríu Taedong. Tien 2.863.000 habitantes según datos de 1993, anque la organización de norcoreanos en Xapón Chosen Soren, facilitó unos datos de 2.500.000 y 3.800.000 2002 y 2003. La ciudá alminístrase como una Ciudá Direutamente Gobernada (Chikhalsi), al mesmu nivel que los gobiernos provinciales.
