Radamantis (Radamantu) yera fíu de Zeus y de la ninfa Europa; hemanu de Minos, rei de Creta y Sarpedón. Foi criáu por Asterión y tuvo de fuxir polos celos del so hermanu; casóse con Alcmena, la mai d'Herácles.

Foi afamáu en vida pol so xacíu y la so xusticia. Poro, al morrer, concediéron-y l'honor de ser ún de los trés xueces del Hades (xunto a Éacu y al so hermanu Minos); concretamente él xulgaba a los asiáticos.
