Sherry Stringfield nació nel añu 1967 en Colorado, Estaos Xuníos.

Na escuela fixo ximnasia y teatru, y darréu asistió al Conservatoriu d'Actuación de Nueva York, del cual graduóse en 1989. Mientres taba en Nueva York, compartió apartamentu con Parker Posey. Nesa dómina, apaeció en delles obres de Broadway.

Participó mientres 3 años del drama “The Guiding Light” interpretando a Blake, darréu dedicóse a viaxar mientres un tiempu hasta que tornó, esta vegada a Los Angeles, pa xunise al repartu de "NYPD Blue".

Unu de los sos papeles más recordaos ye'l de la Doctora Susan Lewis en seriar “Urxencies” (Y.R.), a la cual xunióse nel añu 1994 y gracies a la cual ganó 3 nominaciones a los premios Emmy, una pa los Golden Globes y otra pa los People´s Choice.

Na pantalla grande ver en películes como “Autumn in New York” con Richard Gere y Winona Ryder y “Studio 54”, con Mike Myers, Salma Hayek y Ryan Phillippe.
