Theban Mapping Project

Theban Mapping Project o Proyeutu de Mapeamiento Tebanu ye una espedición arqueolóxica dedicada al Antiguu Exiptu establecida en 1978 pol exiptólogu Dr. Kent R. Weeks na Universidá de California en Berkeley.

En 1985, treslladar a la Universidá Americana d'El Cairu, onde permanez la so sede. L'oxetivu orixinal del proyeutu foi crear un mapa arqueolóxicu del Valle de los Reis, que se publicar como'l Atles del Valle de los Reis en 2000.[1]

Agora tamién puede consultase en llinia na web www.thebanmappingproject.com, onde ye actualizáu añalmente. Dende 2001, el Proyeutu tamién desenvolvió un plan de xestión pal Valle de los Reis, financiáu por World Monuments Fund.[2]
