Los volscos[1][2] fueron una tribu itálica, bien conocida na historia del primer sieglu de la República romana. Naquel momentu allugábense na rexón parcialmente montesa y parcialmente llamargosa del sur de Latium, llindada pelos auruncos y samnites al sur, los hernicos al este, y estendiéndose aproximadamente dende Norba y Cora al norte hasta Antium al sur.[3] Rivales de Roma durante dellos cientos d'años, los sos territorios fueron conquistaos y asimilaos pola república en crecedera en 304 e.C.[4][5] El primer emperador de Roma, Augustus, yera de descendencia volsca.
