El xeoide (etimolóxicamente forma que tien la Tierra) ye la superficie equipotencial qu'aprosimadamente coincide cola superficie definía de los mares en quietú, ensin marees, prollongáu baxu los continentes . Les ondulaciones más grandes rexístrense nuna depresión al sur de la India qu'algama los 105 metros y una elevación al norte d'Australia qu'algama los 75 metros.
