Prifddinas y Swistir, a hefyd brifddinas canton Bern yw Bern (Almaeneg: Bern; Ffrangeg: Berne). Gyda phoblogaeth o 127,318 (2004), hi yw'r bedwaredd dinas yn y Swistir o ran poblogaeth.

Saif y ddinas ar afon Aare. Enwyd hen ganol y ddinas yn Safle Treftadaeth y Byd gan UNESCO.

Sefydlwyd y ddinas bresennol gan y tywysog Berthold V van Zähringen yn 1191. Dywedir i'r ddinas gael ei henw oherwydd i'r tywysog ladd arth ar y safle. Yn 1218 daeth Bern yn ddinas rydd, a llwyddodd i ennill ei hannibyniaeth mewn dau ryfel. Ymunodd Bern a'r conffederasiwn Swisaidd yn 1323.
