Dinas hynafol yn Libanus yw Byblos (Groeg: Βύβλος) neu Jbeil/Jubeil (Arabeg: جبيل Ǧubayl).
Hanes
Roedd yn un o brif ganolfannau'r Ffeniciaid. Wedi ei lleoli ar lan ddywreinol Môr y Canoldir, roedd y ddinas Ffenicaidd yn masnachu â'r Hen Aifft mor gynnar a'r 14g CC a chafodd diwylliant yr Aifft ddylanwad mawr ar y ddinas. Yng nghyfnod yr Ymerodraeth Rufeinig roedd Byblos yn llai pwysig fel canolfan masnach ond roedd yn enwog yn yr Henfyd am ei addoliad orgiastig o'r dduwies Astarte a'i chymar Adonis.
