Doethuriaeth

Y radd academaidd uchaf a roddir gan brifysgol yw doethuriaeth sydd yn ymgymhwyso'i daliwr i addysgu mewn maes arbennig. Yn y Deyrnas Unedig rhaid astudio am o leiaf tair mlynedd gan amlaf ar lefel uwchraddedig er mwyn ennill doethuriaeth, weithiau yn ennill gradd meistr yn y broses. Ymysg y pynciau y ceir doethuriaethau ynddynt yw Athroniaeth (PhD), Peirianneg (EngD), Meddygaeth (MD), Addysg (EdD), Gweinyddiaeth Busnes (DBA), a Gwyddoniaeth (DSc).
