Esgob yw pennaeth uned ddaearyddol a gweinyddol yn yr Eglwys Gristnogol a elwir yn esgobaeth. Daw'r enw o'r gair Lladin episcopus (o'r gair Groeg episkopos, 'goruwchwyliwr'). Mae esgob yn glerigwr sy'n is nag archesgob ond yn uwch nag offeiriad neu ddiacon. Ystyrir esgob yn olynydd i'r Apostolion. Mae ganddo'r awdurdod i ordinhau offeiriaid ac i gonffyrmio pobl yn aelodau llawn o'r eglwys (bedydd esgob).

Mae'r Pab yn Esgob Rhufain. Ceir tri esgobaeth Catholig yng Nghymru sef Archesgobaeth Caerdydd, esgobaeth Mynwy ac esgobaeth Wrecsam; ceir hefyd yn yr Eglwys Anglicanaidd chwech esgob yng Nghymru i lywodraethu esgobaethau Abertawe ac Aberhonddu, Bangor, Tyddewi, Mynwy, Llanelwy a Llandaf. Mae'r chwech esgob hynny dan awdurdod Archesgob Cymru, sydd ei hun yn un o'r chwech esgob yn ogystal a'i swydd fel archesgob.
