Ef oedd yn bennaf gyfrifol am ledaeniad y system rhifo Arabaidd yn Ewrop, yn bennaf trwy ei lyfr Liber Abaci a ymddangosodd tua 1202. Enwyd y gyfres rifau a elwir y rhifau Fibonacci ar ei ôl.
