Gwasanaeth ebost gan Google yw Gmail. Am gyfnod roedd rhaid i'r gwasanaeth ddefnyddio'r enw Googlemail yn y Deyrnas Unedig oherwydd fod cwmni arall yn berchen ar nod masnach 'Gmail' yn y D.U. Fe setlwyd y mater yn Mai 2010.[1]

Mae'r gwasanaeth ar gael mewn 72 iaith, gan gynnwys y Gymraeg ers Mai 2012.[2] Enillodd Gmail yr ail wobr yn "100 Cynnyrch Gorau o 2005" gan PC World, tu ôl i Mozilla Firefox.

Mae Gmail yn anwybyddu atalnod llawn mewn cyfeiriad ebost, e.e. mae'r cyfeiriad [email protected] yr un peth a [email protected]. Mae Gmail yn cydnabod hyn yn eu dogfennau helpu. Gall Google orffen cyfrif Gmail ar ôl naw mis o anweithgarwch.
