Cymuned a thref Llydaw yw Kemper (Ffrangeg: Quimper; Lladin: Corspotium). Kemper yw prifddinas département Penn-ar-Bed, a hen brifddinas Bro Gerne.

Mae kemper yn air Llydaweg sy'n cyfateb i'r gair "cymer" (afonydd) yn Gymraeg; mae Afon Steir, Afon Oded ac Afon Jet yn cyfarfod yma. Mae hanes y dref yn mynd yn ôl i gyfnod y Rhufeiniaid. Erbyn 495 roedd y dref yn esgobaeth. Yr adeiladau mwyaf nodedig yw Eglwys Locmaria, sy'n dyddio o'r 11g, a'r eglwys gadeiriol a adeiladwyd rhwng y 13g a'r 16g. Mae'r eglwys gadeiriol wedi ei chysegru i Sant Corentin, esgob cyntaf Kemper; o'i blaen ceir cerflun yn dangos Gralon, brenin Kêr-Ys, ar gefn ceffyl yn edrych i gyfeiriad ei ddinas foddedig.
