Cylchgrawn am gerddoriaeth boblogaidd yn y Deyrnas Unedig yw'r New Musical Express neu NME. Mae'r cylchgrawn yn cael ei gyhoeddi'n wythnosol ers mis Mawrth 1952 ac mae ganddo gylchrediad o 23,924[1].

Gwelwyd uchafbwynt gwerthiant y papur yn ystod y 1970au pan y cyclchgrawn hwn oedd y cylchgrawn cerddorol a werthai fwyaf ym Mhrydain. Yn ystod y blynyddoedd 1972 tan 1976, cafodd y papur ei gysylltu â newyddiaduraeth Gonzo, yna daeth yn gysylltiedig â Roc Pync yn sgîl erthyglau gan Tony Parsons a Julie Burchill.
