Tref fawr yn sir seremonïol Swydd Gaer, Gogledd-orllewin Lloegr, yw Runcorn.[1] Fe'i lleolir mewn ardal ddi-blwyf yn awdurdod unedol Bwrdeistref Halton. Saif ar lan aber Afon Merswy gyferbyn i Widnes, tua 8 milltir i'r de-orllewin o Warrington. Llifa Afon Weaver i aber Merswy ger y dref.
Yng Nghyfrifiad 2011 roedd gan ardal adeiledig Runcorn boblogaeth o 61,789.[2]
Mae Caerdydd 207.8 km i ffwrdd o Runcorn ac mae Llundain yn 268.4 km. Y ddinas agosaf ydy Lerpwl sy'n 18 km i ffwrdd.
Mae'n adnabyddus fel canolfan cludiant. Ceir pen gorllewinol Camlas Manceinion (Manchester Ship Canal) ger y dref a gorsaf reilffordd. Ceir sawl ffordd fawr yno, yn cynnwys yr M56 sy'n mynd heibio i'r de. Mae'n ganolfan ddiwydiannol hefyd.
